License
License
- Wise SCADA development is completely free. You only need to purchase a license for the runtime.
- The license you purchase can be used indefinitely, with no time limitations.
- After purchasing a license, you can upgrade to all new versions released within one year at no additional cost. After the first year, a version upgrade fee applies if you wish to update to newer releases.
- There are two types of license keys: Softkey and Hardkey. You must choose one of these options.
- For detailed instructions on activation and license management, please refer to the Licensing Procedures page.
Softkey
You are provided with a serial number, which is activated within Wise SCADA.
- If you want to transfer the license to another computer, you must first deactivate it on the current machine.
- If the computer is formatted, the license can be reactivated again on the same machine.
- However, if the computer on which the license is active becomes damaged or inaccessible, the license can no longer be used.
- If your license key is obtained and activated by a third party, you will no longer be able to use your existing license.
- In such cases, you will need to purchase a new license.
For these reasons, the user is fully responsible for the security of the Softkey license key.
Hardkey
The license is delivered to you as a USB hardware key (dongle).
- The license becomes active on whichever computer the dongle is plugged into.
- The dongle must remain connected during operation.
- If the dongle becomes defective, it will be replaced free of charge within two years.
- After two years, a replacement fee will be charged.
- If the dongle is lost or cannot be returned, a new license must be purchased.
- Internal tags are free of charge.
All tags read from or written to a PLC are considered power tags.
- For STRING-type tags, every four bytes count as one tag.
All other data types count as a single tag, regardless of their byte length.
