Creating App Password for Gmail

1. Enable 2-Step Verification (2FA) on your Google account

• Log in: Log in to your Google account → https://myaccount.google.com/security
• Enable: In the “How you sign in to Google” section, turn on the 2-Step Verification option.
  • (You can set this up to receive SMS codes on your phone or use Google Authenticator).

2. Create an App Password

• Go: Return to the Security page.
• Find: Locate the “App passwords” option (this becomes visible only after 2FA is enabled).
  • Google will ask you to enter your password again.
• Select App: Under the “Select app” dropdown, choose Mail.
• Select Device: Under the “Select device” dropdown, choose Other (Custom name) → You can type “SCADA”.
• Generate: Click Generate.
• Copy: It will provide you with a 16-character password (e.g., abcd efgh ijkl mnop). Enter this password into the Password field in Wise SCADA.
